The “Send log” button — when to press it and what we receive.
Sometimes something misbehaves and words alone are not enough to find the cause. Support will then ask you to send an activity log — a short technical record of what happened in your workspace on your device.
Where it is
“Settings”, at the very bottom of the page: “Send diagnostics log”.
Inside is the “Activity log” block and the “Send log” button. The caption is honest about when to use it: “Press the button if a support agent asked you to.”
After sending you will see “Sent, thank you”. If it failed — “Couldn’t send”, try again a little later.
What goes into the log
Only technical things: which screens you opened, how long they took to load, which requests went out and with what result, when the app went into the background and why a page reloaded.
What is not in the log: message texts, names, phone numbers, your contacts’ email addresses or any other personal data. That is the condition under which a log can be sent at all.
Do you need to press it yourself
Usually not. The log travels to us on its own when something goes wrong — for example when a page reloads or the app restarts. The button is for the case “everything looks odd, but nothing was sent automatically”.
