Help›Connections
When a connection breaks
We check accounts ourselves, repair some silently, and tell you about the rest.
You should never learn about a dead bot from your own customers. That is why every connected account is checked constantly, without you.
What we repair ourselves
- Telegram. If your bot is connected to another service and that service pulls it away, we pull it back. A single occurrence is not even treated as a problem: you may have signed into another service yourself.
- Instagram. If the account stops being subscribed to events, we subscribe it again. If an account has been silent for a long time, we double-check that nothing was lost.
- Access lifetime. Instagram access renews itself for as long as Instagram allows it.
While it repairs itself, we do not bother you.
What we cannot repair
Some breakages can only be fixed by the account owner:
| What the card says | What happened |
|---|---|
| “Not working: access expired — reconnect” | Instagram no longer renews access |
| “Not working: the key was revoked — reconnect” | The bot key was reissued or revoked |
| “Not working: another service is taking the bot” | The same bot is connected somewhere else |
| “Not working: the account stopped sending messages” | Instagram stopped sending events and re-subscribing does not help |
| “Not working: this account is connected in another workspace — connect it again” | The same account was connected in another Scriptera workspace |
What you do
- Open “Settings” → “Connections” and find the connection marked in red.
- For Instagram press “Sign in again” and repeat the sign-in, allowing access.
- For Telegram open the connection, paste a fresh key from @BotFather and save.
What you receive
One breakage means one message — by email, in Telegram and as a notification on your phone. These belong to “Important”: they cannot be switched off and they arrive even during quiet hours. When everything recovers, a separate message arrives: “Working again”.
