What notifications you get and when
The full list of what Scriptera writes to you about, and where it arrives.
We only write when it matters: something broke, a bot behaved wrongly, or a user messaged you. Here is the whole list, so you know what to expect and why some messages can be switched off and others cannot.
How it works
Every notification belongs to one of five groups, and the group decides where it goes and whether you can turn it off.
| Group | What it is | Can be turned off | Quiet hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Important | Signing in, broken connections, a bot stopped by the guard | No — you only choose where it goes | Always arrive |
| Messages | Someone wrote to you | Yes, per account | Silent at night |
| News | Our news | Yes, entirely | Silent at night |
| Billing | Payments, renewals, card charges, receipts | No — you only choose email, Telegram or both (in the browser) | Always arrive, only by email and Telegram |
| Subscription and partners | Trial, free plan, partner program | No — this is service correspondence | Always arrive, but only by email and Telegram |
How to choose channels and set quiet hours: Where notifications arrive.
Signing in
| Event | What arrives | Where |
|---|---|---|
| You sign in | An email with a one-time code | |
| You sign in with Telegram confirmation on | A question from the bot with an “It’s me” button | Telegram |
The sign-in code cannot be turned off under any settings: without it you cannot get in.
Connections
All of these arrive three ways at once: email, Telegram and a notification on your phone.
| Event | Message title |
|---|---|
| The access key was revoked or replaced | “The connection is not working” |
| Access was revoked on the service side — password changed, bot recreated | “Reconnect needed” |
| Access expired | “Access has expired” |
| The account stopped sending events | “The account stopped sending messages” |
| Another service is pulling your Telegram bot away | “Your bot is used by two services” |
| Your account was connected in another Scriptera workspace | “Account disconnected” |
| Everything recovered | “Working again” |
What to do in each case: When a connection breaks.
Bot protection
A bot can go in circles or start burying one user in messages. We notice and step in. These arrive by email, in Telegram and on your phone.
| Event | Message title | What happens to the bot |
|---|---|---|
| The bot took too many steps in one run | “A bot run was stopped” | That run is stopped, the bot keeps working |
| This happened in more than half of its runs in a day | “Your bot was turned off” | The bot is off, you turn it back on |
| The bot sent several messages in a row to one user | “Your bot is messaging too fast” | That conversation is paused, the bot keeps working |
| More than half of the bot’s messages went out that way in a day | “Your bot was turned off” | The bot is off, you turn it back on |
The warning arrives once a day per bot — further repeats are visible in your account, but we do not flood your inbox. These belong to “Important”: they cannot be turned off, because at that moment the bot is either silent towards your customers or spamming them, and only you can fix it.
Messages
| Event | What arrives | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Someone wrote to your bot | The user’s name and the message text | Notification on your phone |
Only the first unread message in a conversation triggers it — otherwise one talkative user would fill your screen. This group has no other delivery method: the setting lives in the iPhone app (not published yet — it arrives with it), and there are no such notifications in the browser. Each account can have its own mode: all chats, only the ones where automation is off and you reply yourself, or none. A new Scriptera account starts with “Automation off”: chats the bot handles send no notifications. See Where notifications arrive.
Subscription, payments and the partner program
About your plan, payments and the partner program we write by email, and some of it also to Telegram. These never come as phone notifications and are not shown in the app.
Messages about payments, renewals, card charges and receipts form the “Billing” group. In the browser, under “Account” → “Notifications”, you can choose email, Telegram or both for it; at least one stays on.
Reminders about the Free plan come by email, and each one has an “unsubscribe” link at the bottom — it turns off only these reminders. More: Subscription and Partners.
News
Our messages about what is new in Scriptera. This is the only group you can turn off completely: clear every delivery method in its settings.
Where to see what was sent
Everything we sent you is kept in your account: “Account” → “Notifications” → the round “Received” button in the corner. The feed is grouped by day, unread items are marked with a number, and “Mark all read” clears the counter.
