Security
Face ID when the app opens and confirming sign-in in Telegram.
Your workspace holds your customer base and your conversations with them. The two settings on this page make sure only you can get in.
The page is “Account” → “Security”, subtitled “App unlock and sign-in confirmation on new devices”. The settings sit in two blocks: “Every time you open it” and “Sign-in from a new device”.
Face ID
The “Every time you open it” block, the “Face ID” switch. This setting belongs to the iPhone app. The app is not published yet — the setting will appear together with it. Turn it on and the app will ask for Face ID when it opens.
Turning it on runs a live Face ID check straight away: if the check fails, the switch goes back.
We do not add a separate passcode: if Face ID fails, iPhone asks for your device passcode itself.
Confirm sign-in in Telegram
The “Sign-in from a new device” block, the “Confirmation in Telegram” switch. Turn it on and, after the code from the email, we ask in Telegram: open the bot and tap “It’s me”. Until you confirm, the sign-in does not go through.
That way nobody else gets in, even if they reach your mailbox.
The switch is not always available:
- “Link Telegram first” — Telegram is not linked to your account;
- “Bot stopped — send it ‘Start’” — you stopped our bot, so the question would never reach you.
This is protection from locking yourself out.
You can turn confirmation off only after confirming it is you: the question comes to Telegram, or, if the bot is stopped, a code comes to your email.
Buttons in our messages open your account right away, without a code: the link works for 7 days and stops working after you sign out. If you signed in via such a link, you need to sign in again with the code from your email before turning confirmation off or deleting the account.
Sign-in notifications
The sign-in code and the “It’s me” question belong to “Important” notifications: they cannot be turned off, you only choose where they go. See What notifications you get and when.
